Test Engineer

Our Product Architecture & verification group is looking for Test Engineer.

As Test engineer you will participate in the verification activities for all electronics and software products developed in the Subsea Controls R&D Team.


  • Be responsible for test specifications, execution and documentation
  • Have knowledge of key subsea technologies and their use
  • Be responsible for running product and system verification platforms and labs
  • Participate in improving the verification processes
  • Have knowledge of state-of-the-art verification technologies
  • Collaborate with system, hardware and software development groups

Key functionality in our products:

  • MODbus and CANbus protocols/interfaces
  • Serial and analog instrument interfaces (SIIS)
  • Networking (Ethernet and IP)
  • Safety critical functionality (SIL 2/3)
  • Performance and condition monitoring

Our verification strategy:

  • Model driven development and verification
  • Significant amount of automatic verification and document generation
  • Quality mindset in the whole development process
  • Full functional test of products prior to use in deployment projects


  • BSc in relevant engineering discipline (graduates are encouraged to apply)
  • Minimum 2-5 year experience with test design, execution and documentation for verification of systems, software or electronics.
  • Experience from use of platforms for test automation and scripting (e.g. Python)
  • Structured, systematic, self-driven, enthusiastic and creative, with a passion for learning and a proven record of delivering results
  • Ability to handle complex specifications and develop consistent solutions
  • Good communication and cultural skills with the ability to work in teams as well as independently. Fluent written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of subsea technologies is highly valued
